Abstract
This paper proposes a forecast traffic model correlative to time character. Network traffic is forecasted un- der the traffic model. We also present a mathematics definition of network traffic forecast error. The data of experi- ment of network measurement shows that the traffic model has the advantage of more forecasting precision which is defined str1ctly. The traffic model is very suitable to practical operational networks.
