On the Responsibility of Editors in the 21st Century

The job of an editor, superficially, is only to decide whether an article or a book can be published. In reality, the matter of accepting or rejecting concerns not only the developmental orientation of China's career of science, technology and culture, but also whether the scientific view of development can be actually carried out. Therefore, editors in the 21st century shoulder a great political responsibility, a lofty moral responsibility; a sacred academic responsibility, a brave innovative responsibility and an unselfish leading responsibility, etc. To achieve a great Chinese national rejuvenation, new tasks entrusted by history should be reasonably shouldered.
