Abstract

In this paper, analyzing and comparing the connotations of several concepts related virtual manufacturing, the main progresses of the research and applications on virtual manufacturing are presented,including the virtual manufacturing architecture, the meta-modeling methodology and application areas of virtual manufacturing techniques. Finally, the paper discusses the uptrend of the virtual manufacturing technique.
