Value,Value Orientation and Kernel Value Orientation

Value is a kind of relation,in particular a meaning relation between the subject and the object;and value relation is in essence one of interest that has its own natural expectancy and overt appearance.Value orientation is the command of objective value relation.It is intimately associated with value assessment,which must take into account the needs and interests of the subject,and to treat them as inherent norm to apply to evaluating the object.Therefore,the Socialist kernel value orientation should be and also must reflect the essential characteristic of Socialism,and should be and must reveal the natural expectancy and its appearance.Since any big social change should give rise to value re-appraisal,with particular reference to traditional values,the status quo of China is featured with its framing of the modernization,marketing,and Socialist reform into the same temporo-spatial domain,which appears to be a great social event unprecedented,arduous,and complicated and will hence raise the issue of value re-assessment,and in consequence open up new thinking and social space.
