Abstract
Chitosan-based thermosensitive hydrogel could undergo a liquid-solid phase transformation when injected from room temperature environment to human body.Cells, proteins and other drugs could be incorporated into the hydrogel and their in situ fixation or release could be realized. So this hydrogel could be applied to cell transplantation for tissue repair and drug delivery. In this paper, the development of chitosan-based thermosensitive hydrogel is introduced, and its application in tissue engineering and drug delivery are reviewed in detail.
