Abstract
In his article It should be 音十but not 立早,Zhang Kai criticizes that it is not correct to deconstruct the Chinese Character 章into 立早because it is against the laws of character-forming rules in Chinese language. From the perspective of character-forming in Chinese language, his view is correct. However, the deconstruction of Chinese character has another function, that is rhetoric function. In Chinese rhetoric, for the need of expression, people may not have to follow the six golden rules of character-forming.To deconstruct 章into 立早,though does not go with the six golden rules,it actually embodies the function of Chinese rhetoric in its flexible application of the form features of Chinese characters, and thus it is no mistake at all.
