Abstract
Purposes To study the expression characteristics of heat shock proteins(HSPs) 27,70 and their relationship with PCNA and CD9 in salivary tumors, and their effect on the pathogenesis and development of salivary tumor. Methods With immunohistochemical techniques SP and double-staining,the expression of HSP27,HSP70,PCNA and CD9 was detected in 41 cases of benign salivary tumors and 17 malignant tumours. Results In salivary tumors,HSP27 and HSP70 had higher expression rate, but the localization and intensity of expression were different. In malignant tumors, the positive rate and positive degree of HSP27,CD9 were significantly lower, but HSP70 and PCNA espression were significantly high(P0.05,P0.01).The positive rate and positive degree of HSP70 were all positively related to that of PCNA(Cramer’s V=3 797,r=0.512 31),and the positive rate of HSP27 was positively related to that of CD9(Cramer’s V=0.347 7)as well, but there was no correlation with their positive degree(r=0.176 2,P0.05).Conclusions HSP70 may promote the over-expression of PCNA,which may enhances the proliferation of salivary tumor cell, while HSP27 may partially suppress the proliferation of salivary tumor cells. The lower-expression of HSP27 and CD9 may all be the biomarker for the inhibition of cell differentiation, which may act synergicaally on the migration of the proliferatiing malignant tumor cells.
