On Land Development and Its Influence on the Environment of the Ningbo-Shaoxing Area from the Qin Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties

Explores the Ningbo-shaoxing area is a plain in Northern Zhejiang.The area had a long history of land development.The paper explores the characteristics and influencing factors and laws of the land development of the area Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Finally, it shows that the land development and utilizaton was at a very low level because of the sparse population in the Qin and Han Dynasties and made a remarkable advance because of the increase of farming techniques and the water conservancy projects and the increase of population after the Qin Dynasty in the Ningbo-Shaoxing area.
