Analysis of hepatectomy for hepatolithiasis in 153 cases

Abstract

Objective To investigate the method and effect of hepatectomy for the patients with hepatolithiasis. Methods Rtrospective study was made on 153 patients with hepatolithiasis underwent hepatectomy from Oct 2007 to Oct 2013. Stones distribution,operation modality,postoperative complication and therapeutic effect were evaluated. Result Postoperative complications occurred in 45 cases( 29. 4),mortality was zero. A follow up time ranged from 2 months to 6 years in 139 cases( 90. 8%),with excellent or good result in 89. 4%,residual stone in 9. 3%,and stone recurrence in 12. 9%. Conclusion Hepatectomy is one of the most effective treatments for hepatolithiasis.
