Abstract
As the bone repair implants, the bioactive glasses have excellent bioactivity and biocompatibility, which are attributed to the induction of a bone-like mineral phase at the glass surface. As a result, some novel composite materials with better bioactivity and mechanism for bone repair can be obtained by hybridize bioactive glasses with other materials. In this paper,we introduced the status quo,the challenges and the development of the bioactive glass composites.
