Abstract
Based on the ESDA method, this paper explores the pattern and feature of spatial distribution of economic growth and human capital across China from 1982 to 2011. The results show that there exists significantly positive global spatial correlation between economic growth and human capital, and the analysis of local spatial correlation shows the heterogeneity of spatial distribution between the two. On the basis of analysis above, this paper uses regression method to analyze the spatial spillover effects on human capital in Chinese provinces by constructing extensible spatial Lucas model. And the results show that there exist significantly positive spatial spillover effects in the majority of our provinces over the past 30 years.
