Abstract
Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV) is a non-disturbed instantaneous whole-field velocimetric technique, which was used in fluid dynamics research widely. In this paper, the authors made an attempt to apply the new techniques in the research of blown sand physics and sand control mechanism.By analyzing the results of wind tunnel experiments,we thought that the PIV techniques have many advantages against the traditional measurement methods especially in measuring the velocity and concentration of saltating sand cloud,in measuring the formation and movement of sand dunes, and also in the mechanism research of wind blown sand control.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
