On National Information Security and Countermeasures in New Media Era

Information security is not only an important content of national security,but also a core element and crucial support for a nation's political security,economic security,cultural security,and military security.Currently,weak consciousness of national information security,lack of core technology in the field of information,and monopoly of relevant hardware and software by foreign companies are the challenges facing China's information security.Up into the new media era,the problems of national information security are gradually being highlighted,especially with the prism scandal setting up an alarm bell for information security in China.To protect information security of the country,a national information security strategy needs to be set up as soon as possible.Moreover,we also need to increase citizens' national information security consciousness,actively promote information technology innovation,gradually break the monopoly of western technology and its software and hardware,and establish equitable and rational international rules on network information.
