Abstract
Objective To explore the application value of the new polycrystal whole body PET/CT imaging with low dose tracer injection combined with automatic mAs technology. Methods Totally 200 cases underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging, who were randomly divided into improving group(low-dose tracer and automatic mAs)and conventional group(standard dose tracer and fixed mAs;each n=100).Imaging quality was compared, the PET effective radiation dose(EPET),the CT effective radiation dose(ECT)and the PET/CT total effective radiation dose(EPET/CT)were calculated. The data of both groups were statistically analyzed. Results Imaging quality of two groups can be satisfied the requirements of diagnosis. The EPET,ECT,EPET/CT of improving group and conventional group were(5.2±1.1)mSv,(3.6±2.2)mSv,(8.8±3.2)mSv,and(6.0±0.8)mSv,(6.8±1.1)mSv,(12.8±1.9)mSv.The EPET,ECT,EPET/Cof improving group were reduced by 13.3%,47.0%and 31.2%than those of conventional group. Conclusion New polycrystal PET/CT imaging with low dose and automatic mAs technology can effectively reduce the radiation dose and be satisfied the requirement of imaging diagnosis.
