Abstract
A lot of gas explosions that have large explosion pressure and voice, eject long(4 m~8 m) bright flame from open of explosion vessel were performed in a 7 m~3 explosion vessel.The length-diameter ratio of explosion vessel is 7. Its top is upward or lever, its one end side is open to atmosphere. Natural gas is feeded into explosion vessel by a pipe. Natural gas average volume concentration of explosion tests are 3.4%~13.7%, Ignition source is high frequency electric park. These explosions reproduce the serious gas explosions in coal mine. Some factors that can influence gas explosion in coal mines were derived from these tests. The test results shown that the ventilation near the mining sruface of coal mine increased the gas explosion probability and severity in coal mine. The ventilation near the mining surface of coal mine has bad effect to gas explosion of coal mine.
