A Research on Tourism Economy′s Space Difference and Moderate Development Strategy in Pearl River Delta Cities

The Pearl River Delta is a great tourism economy area in China.Based on the main tourism economic indexes,from the view of economic geography,the basic space difference characteristic of the tourism economy among the Pearl River Delta cities from 1999 to 2008 was analyzed,including the total variety of space difference in domestic tourism income,tourism foreign exchange income,the spatial variation between regional tourism economy and tourism industrial status,and the variety characteristics of core city and outer circle cities in tourism scale preface,tourism development appearance.In end,the moderate development strategy was put forward,which can contract the tourism economy difference among cities in the Pearl River Delta.Its basic ways and countermoves include:deepening cooperation among cities,adjusting tourism development mode,setting up three big tourism circles and eight big tourism plates,speeding the tourism development of edge regions,and combining core city′s proliferation effect to periphery city′s independence development,etc.
