Abstract

Objective To investigate the morphological features of tuberculous pleurisy under thoracoscopy and to evaluate its diagnostic value. Methods The morphological features and pathological results of 35 patients who had been diagnosed as tuberculous pleurisy by thoracoscopy were retrospectively analyzed. Results The manifestations included 5 cases of pachynsis pleurae, fabric adhesion,or encysted pleurisy,13 cases of pleural diffuse edema, miliary spread like gray or pale yellow nodules, and pleural changes in the white sheet,17 cases of miliary like gray or yellow scattered small nodules fusion. Conclusion The morphological features of tuberculous pleurisy are various under thoracoscopy, which have an important value in the diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy.
