Abstract
A benzophenone derivative photoinitiator with high molecular weight,HBP-TDI-DHBP-TDI-HBP(HTDTH),based on 4-hydroxy benzophenone(HBP),toluene-2,4-diisocyanate(TDI) and 4,4'-dihydroxy benzophenone(DHBP),was synthesized and characterized by FTIR.The photopolymerization kinetics showed that HTDTH was an effective photoinitiator. When HTDTH and amine were used to initiate polymerization of acrylates, both rate of polymerization(Rp) and final conversion(P) increased with increase of amine and HTDTH concentration.
