Abstract

Urged by his strong concern with the fate of the nation, Huangzhen, the famous patriotic scholar and thinker in the lair stage of South Song Dynasty, presented his political proposals of implementing the Three Cardinal Guides and Five Constant Virtues, purifying the literar and officialdom's ethos, valuing talented people, and relieving people's burdens through which he expected to pull the regime through the political crisis. Some ascensive and rational elements of his thinking are still of great significance today.
