Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the classification, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndromes(MDS).Methods A panel of monoclonal antibodies and the flow cytometry using CD45/SCC gating strategies were employed for the immunophenotyping on the bone marrow nucleated cells from 27 patients with low-risk MDS,control group and patients with AA as comparisons. Results The CD34+ expressions of low-risk MDS patients were increased.Immunophenotype of multiple protocell, matured granulocyte, monocyte expressed abnormally and were multiple representation. Conclusions Detecting abnormal bone marrow myeloblasts immunophenotype of MDS patients,is conducive to MDS diagnosis, differential diagnosis;flow cytometry is able to detect small changes, more sensitive than cytogenetics.
