Abstract
The processing features and the properties of hardness,wear resistance and corrosion resistance of plasma sprayed ceramic coating and chrome-plating coating are discussed.It is indicated that although the chrome-plating coating can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metal parts,it pollutes the environment seriously.Compared with the chrome-plating coating,plasma sprayed ceramic coating has not only higher hardness and better wear resistance and corrosion resistance,but also the advantages of low pollution or pollution-free to the environment in the manufacture processing.It is believed that plasma sprayed ceramic coating in lieu of chrome-plating coating may have a bright prospect.
