Abstract
To ensure the optimal density and the cutting frequency for Pennisetum americanum×P.purpureum quality under certain ecological conditions,we designed three plant densities under field condtion,in Handan of Hebei province from April to November in 2009,to test quality of Pennisetum americanum×P.purpureum.The results showed that crude protein(%)and Ash(%)decreased while DNF and ADF(%) increased with the increasing of plant density.Crude protein(%)and ash(%)decreased while NDF and ADF increased with cutting frequency increasing. The best nutrition quality was obtianed at 6 944 plant/hm2 in the first cutting.
