Abstract
In the paper,it is introduced a kind of weakly caking coal from Shaanxi Province is studied in the laboratory and discussed the feasibility of injecting weakly caking coal into blast furnaces. The results prove that the weakly caking coal is with such features as low sulfur and high calorific value as well as it is a quality coal type for injection of blast furnaces. It is with higher grindability index and better combustion performance than the currently used anthracite,so it belongs to strong explosive coal type. Therefore,it is suggested the ratios for industrial experiment are 35% weakly caking coal,50% anthracite and 15% bitumite with the old system.
