Abstract

The paper has discussed in detail the sedimentary characteristics and sedimentary environment of inter wave and inter tide of deep water tractional current, from Xiushui Formation of Shuangqiaoshan Group,Middle Proterozoicera,in Xiushui area,Jiangxi Province. The deposition of inter wave and inter tide of deep water tractional current possesses bidirectional graded sequence and unidirectional graded sequence and antithetic graded sequence, and its lithofacies can then be divided into bidirectional cross bedding sandstone facies, and unidirectional cross bedding sandstone facies, and thin bedded alternation facies of sandstone, slate, and flaser, wavy and lenticular fine sandstone, siltstone, and slate facies. The sedimentary structure mainly includes unidirectional and bidirectional cross bedding, interference and curved ripple mark, and wavy, flaser and lenticular bedding. Finally, the inter wave and inter tide sedimentary model of channels and non channels has been established on the basis of comprehensive analysis.
