Abstract

The effects of different N-P-K levels on agronomic traits and nutrient contents of southern autumn maize were studied in a L4(23)orthogonal experiment with 4 treatments: no fertilizer(CK),no potassium(with P and N),no phosphorus(with N and K) and no nitrogen(with P and K).The results showed that N significantly increased the plant height, spike height, stem diameter, total nitrogen content and total phosphorus content of the southern autumn maize, but decreased significantly the total potassium content.P increased the plant height, stem diameter and the contents of total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium significantly, but had no effects on spike height.K significantly increased the total phosphorus content, decreased significantly the plant height, spike height, total nitrogen content and total potassium content, and had no effects on stem diameter. It was suggested that applying N and P fertilizer could improve the agronomic traits and the plant nutrient contents of southern autumn maize.
