Abstract
This study aimed to investigate molecular genetic characteristics of the follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) β gene and elucidate the effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) of FSHβ on some reproductive performance in Nuogu pig.We used polymerase chain reaction single-strand conformation polymorphism(PCR-SSCP) and sequencing the coding sequence of the FSHβ gene in 58 individuals. The results showed that two new polymorphic sites were found in exon 2 on 6699 bp and 6708 bp.The A allele frequency was 0.288,the B allele frequency was 0.119,while the C allele frequency was 0.593.There were no significant difference in five genotypes(AA,CC,AB,AC,BC),because of the two mutant sites were the synonymy mutations.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
