Abstract
There are obvious differences between the longitudinal and transverse bending performance of orthotropic metal plate. In order to understand the bending performance of the metal plate with fibers distributed along the thickness direction, bending test was done according to prescriptive bending angle for Q235 steel discs with different thickness in longitudinal, transverse and thickness directions by two punches with different bottom arc radius and the ranges of minimum relative bending radius were obtained respectively. The results show that the value of minimum relative bending radius for bending along thickness direction is between that of longitudinal and transverse bending, and near to that of longitudinal bending.
