Implementation of RSVP-TE based multicast signaling protocol in ASON

Abstract

This paper discusses the motivation to implementing multicast in automatic switched optical network and investigates the extensions to RSVP-TE for dynamic point-to-multipoint trees under GMPLS framework.Setup,grafting,pruning and teardown operations of trees were successfully achieved by an implementation of extended GMPLS protocols in an experimental network.
