Abstract
Compared with 41provenances from 20countries and areas, the variation in growth characteristics is assessed in provenance trial of C.equisetifolia at Dongshan,Fujian Province,China. The results showed that there were significant differences in height,DBH and volume among provenances. But there are no significant correlations between the variation and location of original regions except for height growth and latitude of in Southern Hemisphere. And the correlations among growth characters were highly significant.8 excellent provenances were selected among 41 provenances. They are Zhanjiang,Guangdong,18154(Philippines),18014(India),18157(Malaysia),18153(Papua New Guinea),18158(Malaysia ),18298(Thailand),18118(Vietnam) respectively.
