Has Manufacturing Industrial Structure Been Optimized in China? Investigation Based on 167 Subdivision Industries

This paper uses the datasets of Chinese economic census in 2004 and 2008,and investigates the process of 167 subdivision industries' optimization from the perspective of rationalization,internal promotion and external promotion.It's found that great progress in resource allocation and transformation of industrial quality has been made in China,however,serious deficiencies exist in high technological manufacturing industries.Therefore,much attention should be paid to the high-technological industry and technology-intensive industry in the guide of industrial policy.
