Studies on Chinese Science Fiction in Recent 100 Years

The studies on modern Chinese science fiction can be traced back to the early twentieth century.However,the real start of the studies was after 1980s.Generally the research can be divided into two parts: the studies on the modern translated science fiction and the local science fiction.With the development of the studies,in spite of the separation between the modern translated science fiction and the local science fiction,some achievements have been made,especially in the studies on the local science fiction.The achievements mainly focus in the following areas: the causes of the rise and fall in the novel,the modernity and the value.However,the study of modern science fiction,due to such reasons as the confinement of the research ideas and the lowness of the meaning of the text orientation,did not achieve the degree of attention in line with its real value.There is a long way to go in the study of the modern science fiction.
