A Minimalist Study of Mandarin Verb Copying Construction

Abstract

Mandarin Chinese Verb-copying construction(Vcc) is a unique grammatical phenomenon which is in many ways distinct with its counterpart in other languages.Through the generative discussion,the internal working mechanism of verb-copying constructions is probed and the importance of the light verb in the numeration is also analysed to drive to the new theoretical conclusion,based on the light verb theory.
