Abstract

Correlation model between near-infrared reflectance(NIR) spectrum and petroleum ether extract of tobacco was established based on 149 representative tobacco samples in Guizhou province.10 samples were determined by using the correlation models. The mean absolute deviation and the mean absolute relative error for petroleum ether extract of tobacco were 0.075% and 1.449%,respectively.And the results showed that there were no significant difference between the predicted data and the actual data.It suggested that the NIR analysis technique could be used to quantitatively analyze tobacco aroma compositions.NIR spectroscopy analytical technique is simple, fast and low cost,it makes neither pollution nor damage to the samples, and can determine many components at the same time as well.
