A Discussion of Humorous Produce from Pragmatics' Viewpoint

Abstract

Humor is an esthetic speech act derived from the variation of language and plays an important role in people's spiritual life.Pragmatics is to analyze specific utterances in specific contexts and find out how to use language rules in various communicative situations.In this essay,it tries to probe the relation between pragmatic rules and humor through analyzing some English humorous stories.
