Abstract
Objective To supply a reference to establish the quality standards on a new medical herb in pieces of Radix Astragall. Methods Inspecting the appearance, general subjects(water content, total ash, sour insoluble ash) on different types of new medical herb in pieces of Radix Astragall and using HPLC to determine the content of Astragaloside IV.Results The linear range of ferulic acid was 0.70~5.60 μg and its relativity was very well,r=0.999 1.Regression equation: C=0.671 3A-3.699 5.The average recovery was 96.17%,RSD=1.72%.Conclusion The quality of this new medical herb in pieces of Radix Astragall is quite stable.
