The Occurrence and Perfection of Chinese Modern Poetic Language

The relationship between language and poetic style is a basic problem in the research of the new poetry. The May Fourth New Poetry Movement established the new poetry based on the modern Chinese poetry, which is an important symbol of modern transformation of Chinese poetry. However, the early poetic language of the new poetry was not perfect. Therefore, after the occurrence of the new poetry, the Chinese poets began to embark on the improvement of the poetic language. The way is to perfect the poetic language's popular oral direction, Europeanized direction as well as traditional rhyme. To solve the problem of the relationship between the poetic language and its versification is the key to the construction of the poetic language. There exist many difficulties in constructing the poetic rhyme of the new poetry, so that the solution to the problem will have a long way to go.
