On the Poems of Zhu Changchun

Zhu Changchun was an important poet in later Ming Dynasty.But little study has been done about his large sums of works.Unique values,however,can be found in his works after a careful study of his poems,which call forth kin emotions,sing in praise of life,eulogize friendship and comment on political affairs,longing for freedom and desiring to enjoy the beautiful scenery,all of which are integrated and balanced between feelings and reasons,which makes these poems concise and elegant.In addition,Zhu put forward his opinions about poetry while criticizing the ancient style.
