Abstract
Objective Inspecitng the contamination of salmon by Listeria monocytogenes and serotyping the Listeria monocytogenes isolated from Norway salmon.Methods The methods of FDA BAM 8th chapter 10 and chapter 11 were used for Listeria monoytogenes isolation and serotyping.Results The result showed that rates of Norway salmon contamination by Listeria monocytogenes were form 1.2% to 6.2%.The contamination rates decreased from 2003 to 2006.The serotype of the Listeria monocytogenes isolated were 1/2a,1/2b and 4b.Conclusion About 97% of Listeria monocytogenes isolates from salmon imported colud cause the Listeriosis in human.
