International Trend, Main Problems and Development Strategies of Export Credit Insurance

Export credit insurance is one of the important instruments offered to the members by WTO to promote export and oversea investment. It is very important to China after its entering the WTO. Since 1990s, developed countries have hastened the process of privatization and commercialization of export credit insurance. Commercial credit insurance has become the principal part of the export credit insurance system. Meanwhile, the export credit insurance has shown the trend of internationalization, thus leading to more products and institutional innovation of the export credit insurance. Thus, China should analyze the international trend of export credit insurance objectively, learn from the international experience and promote the development of export credit insurance market in China.
