Occlusion in implant dentistry

Abstract
The specific physiology should determine the specificity of occlusion in implant dentistry.The dynamic balance in implant-bone interface is maintained by the micro-trauma from occlusal force and the repaired capacity of the bone.The occlusal force along the long axis of implant is of little or no harm to the implant.The basic principle of building occlusion in implant dentistry is reasonable occlusal force along the long axis of implant and the minimized lateral force.Bruxism patients can also be treated by implantology,but those cases should be enhanced on the retention when being designed.
