Abstract
In order to expand the absorbing bandwidth of the materials in the microwave band,W type hexagonal ferrite and barium titanate particles were prepared.The structure and morphology of products were characterized by XRD and SEM.The electromagnetic parameters of W type hexagonal ferrite,barium titanate particles and their composite were tested by using a vector network analyzer in the band(2-14 GHz),then the absorbing properties were calculated with a thickness(2.8 mm).The results showed that W type hexagonal ferrite had good absorbing properties at 8 GHz to 11 GHz(minimum reflectivity was-48 dB);the 25% barium titanate ratio of composite kept better absorbing properties,having wider absorbing band(less than-10 dB),which was 7 GHz(7-14 GHz).
