Abstract
Objective:To compare the time-effect rule of pain-relieving effect in the treatment of mild dysmenorrhea between acupuncture of single point and acupuncture of multipoint in order to provide reference to determine the best needle-retaining time and acupuncture frequency in the treatment. Methods:Random observe the pain-relieving time-effect rule of mild primary dysmenorrhea patient by acupuncture in 17 vertebra point and acupuncture in multipoint,each group contained 45 patients.Both groups remain the needles for 30min;record respectively the VAS on the point of before acupuncture,needle remaining for 5min,10min,20min,30min,and 30min,60min,120min after needle withdrawal. Results:The pain-relieving effect of both groups emerged rapidly after acupuncture,and the effect continued strengthen in the needle-remaining period until needle withdrawal;The immediate pain-relieving effect of multipoint group is obviously better than that of single point group(P0.01) at 10min of needle-remaining and this distinction sustained until 2 hours after needle withdrawal.The pain-relieving effect dropped to the limit at around 30min after needle withdrawal. Conclusion:There is obvious immediate pain-relieving effect in the treatment of mild primary dysmenorrhea by both acupuncture in 17 vertebra point and acupuncture in multipoint,and the acupuncture effect of both groups have the same variation trend of time-effect rule,but the immediate pain-relieving effect of the multipoint group is obviously better than that of single point group at many time point;The needle-remaining time is better to over 30 minutes,and the patients with mild pain lasting long could be treated with acupuncture twice a day.
