Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of the treatment by vinovelbine(NVB)and cisplatin(DDP)with radiation at different timing intervals on the apoptosis of human breast cancer cell MCF-7.METHODS:The effect of different timing intervals between chemotherapy and radiotherapy on cell cycle distribution and apoptosis induction in MCF-7 cells was studied by flow cytometry measurements. For the qualitative detection, the fluorescence microscopy analysis was used.RESULTS:MCF-7 cell apoptosis was induced and the apoptosis index increased with the time extending in both groups. The apoptosis index of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy group was significantly higher than that of chemotherapy group(P0.05).NP chemotherapy alone induced different percentage accumulations of G2/M phase at different timing.CONCLUSION:The apoptosis index increases with the extending of timing intervals between NP chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
