Abstract
In the light of many alienated phenomena of separation of higher education from humanity in the actual world of higher education, this paper proposes that higher education itself is calling for the return of humanity. The return is mainly embodied in such aspects as paying attention to humanity, leading humanity and helping to achieve humanity.Paying attention to humanity is the true demand of higher education;leading humanity means higher education should lead humanity to freedom, unaffectedness, diversity, uniqueness, adaptation to the life world and harmony;helping to achieve humanity indicates that higher education should provide not only a correct understanding of humanity, but also an environment, devices and methods full of humanity.
