Abstract

Several catalysts for synthesis of glycol stearate were studied.The results showed that on phosphotungstic acid supported Hβzeolite catalyst the rate of esterification of stearic acid is higher,and the color of the product is better.The effects of dosage of catalyst,material ratio,reaction time,reaction temperature and repeated use of catalyst on the rate of esterification of stearic acid with Hβbeta zeolite molecular sieve as catalyst were studied,and the optimum reaction conditions for catalytic synthesis of glycol stearate were obtained.
