Abstract
Objective To investigate the biological effect of VIP in the process when the wound tissue was healing,by observing the proliferation of HUVECs activated by VIP and the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor in HUVECs which had been cultured in vitro. Methods HUVECs had been cultured in vitro and classified two group which were serum-supplemented medium group and serum-free medium group, then both groups were added VIP or PBS respectively. The proliferation of HUVECs were detected with MTT and the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor in human umbilical vein endothelial cells were quantificated with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Result The synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor in both group were observed, but the quantity of vascular endothelial growth factor in the VIP-group were higher than in the PBS-group,and VIP could promote the proliferation of human vein vessel endothelial cells in the two groups. Conclusion Vasoactive intestinal peptide could promote the proliferation of HUVECs and increase the synthesis of the vascular endothelial growth factor in HUVECs,and could have the effect of increase angiogenesis in the process of the wound tissue.
