Abstract

Objective:To investgate the morphologic features of hippocampus-fornix projection on MRI and provide the reference for identifying hippocampus-fornix projection on cross-section and coronal-section on MRI.Methods:The data of the cross-section and coronal-section on MRI of forty healthy adult were imported into e-film workstation 2.0.The hippocampus-fornix projection was identified and localized using structure continuous tracking technology.Results:The appearance orders of hippocampus-fornix projection were hippocampus,hippocampus-fornix and fornix in cross section,and fornix,hippocampus-fornix,fornix in coronal plane on MRI.The mapping length of hippocampus was equal to the number of plies of cross section times 2 mm in coronal plane and the number of plies of coronal plane times 2 mm in cross section.Conclusions:The hippocampus-fornix projection and surrounding structures can be objectively and accurately identified on cross section and coronal plane of MRI.
