Abstract

A method dyeing the ramie fabric with ramazol reactive dyes after its cationic modification with PECH-amine has been examined. The optimum conditions of cationic modification of ramie fabric are cationic agent concentration,10%(owf);NaOH concentration,2 g/L;reaction temperature,50 ℃;reaction time,50 min.The optimum dyeing conditions of the modified ramie fabric is sodium sulfate concentration,50 g/L;sodium phosphate concentration,8 g/L;dye concentration,3%(owf).Moreover,color yield,K/S values and color fastness of the treated fabric were compared with that of the untreated. Results obtained signify that modification with this agent was found to increase the color yield and K/S values significantly. The fastness to washing and rubbing was also excellent.
