Abstract

Physical and psychological stresses activate the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal(HPA)axis,and influence female's reproductive endocrine function at all three levels of the hypothalamo-pituitary-ovary(HPO)axis.The mechanisms that stress's influence on female's reproductive endocrine function involve CRH,GCS and β-EP overreleases induced by stress, while sensitivity of individuals to stress is linked to activities of the serotoninergic and GABAergic neurons.
