Abstract
[Objective] To understand the seasonal fluctuation of Rattus flavipectus and the species composition of fleas,so as to provide the basis for the policy making in Longlin county.[Methods]The epidemic data, the surveillance and treatment results of plague were analyzed in Longlin county from 2000 to 2009.[Results]A total of 3 956 rats were captured in Longlin county from 2000 to 2009.The average density of rodents was 2.71%,the annual density was 5.09%,1.39%,6.20%,2.04%,3.98%,2.26%,2.57%,2.61%,2.63% and 2.75%.From January to December was 2.71%,2.78%,3.17%,3.23%,3.35%,2.99%,2.59%,2.43%,1.82%,2.15%,2.94% and 2.11%.A total of 1 143 Rattus Flavipestus were infected and 4 101 fleas were collected, the average rodents infected with flea and index of flea were 28.89% and 1.04.Xenopsylla Cheopis accounted for 78.59%(its index was 0.81),Leptopsylla segnis accounted for 18.09%,Monopsyllus anisus accounted for 2.17%,Ctenocephalides felis accounted for 0.63%,Pulex irritans accounted for 0.49% and Nosopsyllus wualis accounted for 0.02%.[Conclusion]Rattus flavipectus and its parasitical fleas maintain a high level.Xenopsylla Cheopis are the dominant species.
